The Internet is one of the greatest inventions of our generation, prompting some people to suggest it has ushered in a new revolution as important as the industrial revolution. The Internet has changed the way we communicate with each other, shop and get our information. The influence of the Internet has spread beyond the confines of the online world and has affected every aspect of our lives.
The primary purpose of the Internet is to transmit information. As soon as the Internet came into being information could travel across the world almost instantly. This alone has impacted the practicalities of almost every industry in the world. It has changed the shape of administration and shortened the time it takes for documents to move from one place to another making industry more productive.
The way we consume information has changed drastically too, news and information can be accessed instantly from anywhere in the world. This not only means that we can get information quicker, but also that traditional information sources like newspapers have been forced to adapt to a new role by adding context rather than news.
One of the biggest impacts that the Internet has had is on the communication between normal citizens. Anybody can post something on the Internet that will can be seen by anyone else, it has essentially democratised mass communication. Websites like Facebook, Myspace and Twitter have revolutionised the way we organise our social lives, while websites like Youtube have and iPlayer have changed the shape of our entertainment.
Media piracy and social media have changed our legal systems making so called super injunctions almost pointless and intellectual property laws seem equally toothless. People can download music, videos and computer programs without paying for them, and information can be published with minimal risk of incrimination.

Life would be really really hard without internet. I am now used to solving my curiosity instantly through internet. Whenever I have a question, I google it. If I can’t find it on Google, I ask it on Quora or Wishfie, if I want to know something in detail, I browse through wikipedia, if I want to watch a tutorial or a documentary on a topic, I go to Youtube, if I want to get entertained, I log into Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat, if I am missing someone, I Whatsapp them, if I am on a vacation, I upload the memories to Google Photos…and so on

Life without internet would be dull, I wouldn’t know what to do. In fact, my job depends upon internet. I learn from internet and I connect using internet.

I know there are a lot of cons of internet, but it’s like a lifeline.

However, some positive things would happen too:

I’ll become a little more patient
My eyes, neck and head would hurt a little less
I’d experience the real world a little more
    I’ll meet more people
I’ll have more time in my day
    I won’t become a couch patato
My fingers would be little less tired at the end of the day (because I’d be typing and swiping less…don’t get wrong ideas in your head :)
I brain will become a little sharper as I’d have to use it instead of apps :)

The positive impact of the internet on a student’s life is such that they can now go for any educational program (like associate degrees or diplomas, bachelor courses, master courses, or even doctoral or post-doctoral courses) online. Many reputed schools, colleges, and universities across the world now offer a number of online education programs in diverse fields.

Internet has become part of everyone's life as most us nowadays rely on internet. Few years back, adding mobile data to the phone was just an option whereas now it has become mandatory.
As it provides all the sources, access ,facts, infotainment, entertainment,etc... which feels like everything is in our hands accessible within few inch screens.
It is not only used for timepass purposes but also provides wide source of knowledge which minimizes the use of books and libraries.
It has both pros and cons.
Sometimes we forget to notice what is happening around, forget face to face conversations.
Many don't experience searching for particular topic in a book gives you more intense knowledge than on internet surf.
The fact that its has become addiction of present generation. We engage ourselves in mobile and internet stuffs which make us feel like living in parallel universe rather than living in real world.
Sometimes I wanted to stop surfing internet and live without it which is hard to do so. We are more used to this kind of routine.

Reliance Jio's 4G network speed increased by about 15 per cent in September while its competitors Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea (VIL) speed jumped by about 85 per cent and 60 per cent month-on-month to 11.9 Mbps and 14.4 Mbps, respectively, according to data published by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai).

The download speed helps consumers access content from the internet, while upload speed helps them send or share pictures or videos to their contacts.

According to Trai, there was an improvement in the 4G upload speed of the three telecom private operators in September.

Vodafone Idea maintained an average upload speed of 7.2 Mbps in September. It was followed by Reliance Jio with an upload speed of 6.2 Mbps and Bharti Airtel 4.5 Mbps.

State-owned telecom operator BSNL has rolled out 4G service in select areas, but its network speed did not figure in the Trai chart.

The average speed is computed by Trai based on the data it collects across India with the help of its MySpeed application on a real-time basis.
Jio continued to lead in both 4G access and 4G coverage. The operator also provided the best video playback experience, jumping two places from OpenSignal's March report. Airtel came a close second, according to the report.

Intenet now became as important as oxygen for people. It became a basic necessity for people. In 2017 Jio monetized its plans; however it was very pocket friendly and reasonable. People were now able to watch favorite videos, surf the internet for hours without the worry of exhausting data. Even if your data is exhausted, you can get 2 GB for just Rs. 20. This led to the rise of web series and web-based movies. This made students study online. It enabled many businesses to run online hassle-free. Reading books online to listening to songs online, Jio changed the whole scenario.
This is 2020 smart TVs connected to the internet, smartphones, which are usually always connected to the internet. Broadband is losing its popularity, and WiFi is becoming a new trend. People are going wireless all over the country. Today, we don’t have to rely on cybercafés to surf the internet. We don’t have to be in the home to watch the live match; instead we watch it on apps like Hotstar. We can call without worrying about the remaining balance. We can call other people over the internet. Thanks to the revolutionary year 2015 and Jio for bringing in 4G and transforming the lives of people in India.

Using the findings, the study found that through network effects, Jio's entry into the telecom industry will expand. India's per capita GDP by about 5.65 percent, if all else is kept constant in the economy.the tremendous scale and 4G infrastructure, Jio has been able to make money while upending the Indian mobile market. Competitors have been forced to cut prices to compete, leading to a 35% drop in revenue in the industry over the past two years despite an expanding market. THE POSITIVE POINTS OF THE INTERNET

They can be in contact with their friends and those who live outside in an easy and immediate way.
Thanks to search engines like Google, they can make their task faster and better.
You can contact us immediately in case of an emergency.
They can know different cultures and countries through images and videos without having to leave the house.
They will have information about what happens around the world in an immediate way.
It is a creative medium in which you can learn many things, from how to create an App, programming, to guitar lessons on YouTube. There is an endless amount of free content for all tastes.
They can belong to cybernetic communities without having to be in the same city or country.
There is education the free line.
Communication becomes a dialogue instead of a monologue. You can interact with those who make content and you can also produce it.
THE NEGATIVE POINTS OF THE INTERNET

There is unfit content, from the sexual to the violent.
Being in constant contact with friends is a double-edged sword, since if there is any type of bullying it can turn into cyberbullying .
There are the countries with the highest consumption of child pornography.
Unfortunately there are also such countries in human trafficking and child sexual abuse. A pedophile takes around 15 minutes to have images or video of your son or daughter and there are criminal networks that look for children and young people.
It can create an addiction to social networks and chats if there are no limits of time of use.
For each of the negative points we see that exist on the Internet, we see the great responsibility we have as parents to be the guides of our children in this subject.

There is no need to demonize the environment or frighten us, rather we must be present and aware parents to teach our children to handle themselves with values and in a safe way on the internet.

Jio was a very good service at one point of time. Today the charges by Jio and the speed with which the GB is consumed makes me feel they have a problem going on in the metering services. Someone is working out there to make the bosses happy and the customer very unhappy. They have a good thing going but will very soon breach the walls and the customers are going to runaway. Jio will mean something else. Today if you have customers and others have fewer it does not mean the trend cannot reverse. They should not be arm twisting thier customers this fast . You get message within 20 minutes of renewal that you have used up your quota of 1.5 GB. And this is the part of the service they are very prompt and very particular about. They even send messages to get money for topup. The top up prices are lopsided and very expensive. This make thier services unreliable and unpredictable. Sorry Jio you surely are going the wrong way and the speed is faster than the speed of your internet services. Don't say you were not warned.

  47. The Internet has turned our existence upside down. It has revolutionized communications, to the extent that it is now our preferred medium of everyday communication. In almost everything we do, we use the Internet. Ordering a pizza, buying a television, sharing a moment with a friend, sending a picture over instant messaging. Before the Internet, if you wanted to keep up with the news, you had to walk down to the newsstand when it opened in the morning and buy a local edition reporting what had happened the previous day. But today a click or two is enough to read your local paper and any news source from anywhere in the world, updated up to the minute.

The Internet itself has been transformed. In its early days—which from a historical perspective are still relatively recent—it was a static network designed to shuttle a small freight of bytes or a short message between two terminals; it was a repository of information where content was published and maintained only by expert coders. Today, however, immense quantities of information are uploaded and downloaded over this electronic leviathan, and the content is very much our own, for now we are all commentators, publishers, and creators.

The Internet has also changed the way we interact with our family, friends, and life partners. Now everyone is connected to everyone else in a simpler, more accessible, and more immediate way; we can conduct part of our personal relationships using our laptops, smart phones, and tablets.

The benefits of always-online immediate availability are highly significant. I would find a long-distance relationship with my life partner or my family unthinkable without the communication tools that the network of networks provides me with. I’m living in Madrid, but I can stay close to my brother in California. For me, that is the key plus of the Internet: keeping in touch with the people who really matter to me.

As we have seen, the Internet revolution is not just technological; it also operates at a personal level, and throughout the structure of society. The Internet makes it possible for an unlimited number of people to communicate with one another freely and easily, in an unrestricted way.

Just a century ago, this was unimaginable. An increasing number of couples come together, stay together, or break up with the aid—or even as a consequence—of social communication tools. There are even apps and social networks out there that are purposely designed to help people get together for sex.

Of course, when compared to face-to-face communication, online communication is severely limited in the sense impressions it can convey (an estimated 60 to 70 percent of human communication takes place nonverbally), which can lead to misunderstandings and embarrassing situations—no doubt quite a few relationships have floundered as a result. I think the key is to be genuine, honest, and real at all times, using all the social media tools and their many advantages. Let’s just remember that a liar and a cheat online is a liar and a cheat offline too.
Even before the emergence of social media, pioneering experiments took place in the political sphere—like Essembly, a project I was involved in. We started to create a politically themed platform to encourage debate and provide a home for social and political causes; but the social networks that have later nurtured activism in a new way were not as yet in existence.

Research has shown that young people who voice their political opinions on the Internet are more inclined to take part in public affairs. The better informed a citizen is, the more likely they will step into the polling booth, and the better they will express their political liberties. The Internet has proved to be a decisive communication tool in the latest election campaigns. It is thanks to the Internet that causes in the social, welfare, ideological, and political arenas have been spoken up for and have won the support of other citizens sharing those values—in many cases, with a real impact on government decision making.
